WELCOME TO THE ARCHIVES...WHERE OLD NEWS IS GOOD NEWS

07/24/05 - Summer heat, and no AC!

Due to a power outage here in Lansing, the site was down most of today. And so was my AC! Man, that sucked. Anyway, sorry for the infrequent updates, but yes we are still alive and kickin' here at JiggyByte. The congas are still actively being maintained. In fact, I am only one referral away from my PSP, and I believe we have two others within one or two referrals of graduating from the lists as well. So why wait? It's the perfect time to pick a prize and go for it!

Ds4free - NintendoDS or $150 Cash (Offercentric)
mp3players4free.com - iRivier/iPod/Cash (Offercentric)
dvrs4free.com - Tivo/Cash/Remote (Offercentric)
FreeMiniMacs.com - Apple MiniMac Computer with OSX TIGER, these things rock! (Gratis)
FreeFlatscreens.com - Get a flat panel monitor or LCD TV (Gratis)

Remember, signing up for any offer allows ALL of your referral links to be posted. I am also paying $15 for my last greens on FreePSPs.com, so if you haven't already signed up for that one now is a great time to do it.

07/08/05 - Happy holiday!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, and you're not working too hard in the heat. Life is still busy, we are getting settled into the new house. What a bunch of work home ownership is!

06/26/05 - We're back!!!

Well, the move is complete and the server is back up and running. There may be some downtime here and there, but so far everything seems to be running smoothly. Please feel free to join the congas, and let's celebrate the new home for JiggyByte.com!

I'd also like to remind everyone that I am willing to pay $15 for each of my last two PSP referrals. Sign up for FreePsps.com and let me know what offer you completed. As soon as you are green, you get Paypal cash! It's that easy. Use the email link on this page to contact me.

06/16/05 - freeipods.com graduates, paypal for PSP

I had two people tell me they can be removed from the freeipods.com conga this past couple of days, so I feel it is time to hype that one up a bit again! Click HERE to get signed up, and then email me when you complete an offer, and get on the conga! The line is short, so hop in now and get an oldie but goodie, FreeiPods.com.

In other news, I need only two more referrals to get my FreePsp from Gratis. I am prepared to offer $15 paypal to the next two people who sign up. Click here to be one of the lucky ones!

06/06/05 - Web Hosting?

Well, I have been quite busy for the last couple of weeks getting ready for the big move. If anyone has any suggestions for good hosting companies, please drop me an email and let me know. I'm looking for something inexpensive, with easy access (ftp preferably) and decent monthly bandwidth. Once I move to the new house, I may need to get outside hosting so I apologize ahead of time for any short term site downtime.

The congas are still active, so try to sign up now and help everyone out! Don't forget the guaranteed link here on the home page either. If you have one last referral to get, and can help the person on the front page get their last one, you get their spot until you get your guaranteed referral. It basically ends up as a guaranteed one-for-one trade, with me as the middle man. I'll make sure you get your referrals!

05/24/05 - Notbooks4free conga added

I have added the notebooks4free conga back to the congas page by request. Help get this conga moving again! The line is short, and the time is right!

05/23/05 - Get a free XBOX 360 from Offercentric!

I just added a conga for the new OfferCentric Xbox360 site. Feel free to sign up and double your chances for getting an Xbox360 as soon as they are released.

05/18/05 - Get a free XBOX 360 from Gratis!

Gratis now has a site for earning a free Xbox 360. This site was just released today, so get it while it's hot! For those who don't know, that is the next generation Xbox which is currently being shown at E3. It is coming out this Fall, and Gratis is pre-ordering a bunch of them. Get in line now, and join the conga! You've got plenty of time to get the 8 referrals, and it'll be awesome to be the first on your block to get an Xbox 360.

Join Free360Xbox.com, and get on the conga today! Now all we need is a Free PS3 site...

05/14/05 - Zens4Free update...and lots o'links!

For all of you who have joined phreepsps or zens4free, the boards over at A4F have been saying that the sites are back up and running and that things should be moving along soo with the credits being given. I know the sites have been down a long time, but supposedly they are back up and running.

If you want some good offers (from sites proven legit!) here are some good ones from Gratis and Offercentric. I have gotten an iPod, two shiffle iPods, a photo iPod, an iRiver, and Paypal cash from these two companies in the past. So they are absolutely legit, and have a long history of providing good service. Check all of my proof pages linked on the left side of this page, and get something free for yourself! There are congas for all of these sites HERE.

FreePSPs.com - Sony PSP portable gaming/media machine (Gratis)
WiFiMusic.4NoCash.com - wireless music servers (not Gratis or OC, but legit)
Ds4free - NintendoDS or $150 Cash (Offercentric)
mp3players4free.com - iRivier/iPod/Cash (Offercentric)
dvrs4free.com - Tivo/Cash/Remote (Offercentric)
FreeMiniMacs.com - Apple MiniMac Computer with OSX TIGER, these things rock! (Gratis)
FreeFlatscreens.com - Get a flat panel monitor or LCD TV (Gratis)

05/11/05 - Free Wendy's!

Here's a free deal you can't pass up. No referrals required! Wendys.com has a post about the free frosty weekend that is coming up. It is this Friday through this Sunday, and you can go to any Wendy's nationwide and get yourself a free frosty! No referrals needed! This is in repsonse to the negative publicity stemming from the "finger incident".

05/08/05 - Happy Mom's day!

Hope all of you are having a good mother's day! Sorry it's been so long since the last update, but I have been very busy getting ready to move into the new house. With any luck, the move should not interrupt service to Jiggybyte.com.

I have started a new program here on Jiggybyte. From now on, I will have one link at the top of the home page. This link will be reserved for people who need only ONE LAST referral for any given site. The idea here is to get that person finished, and hopefully provide extra attention to their link. Our first link is for FreeiPods.com, an oldie but a goodie. What I want to happen with this link, is that the person who signs up for the link will get to put their link on the front for a guaranteed referral as well. So what you get is a one-for-one guarantee by completing an offer for this person. If you need more than one referral, you only get to be on the front for one. So you can either wait until your last one, or take a guaranteed first referral.

The way I expect this to work is this: Sign up using the special link at the top. Complete an offer, and once you do I will let you put ANY ONE referral link in place of the one you complete. This could be for any site that you want a guaranteed referral. I will keep you there until you get a completed offer, and then you can get put on the conga if you still need more. Sound good? I think this will generate some good traffic to targeted links, and still let the congas work their magic too. So let's get our first person their LAST referral!

No worries, the congas will still be here as well. This is just another way to try to set Jiggybyte.com above the rest of the sites, and make it more appealing to new visitors!

05/02/05 - iCleaner

I thought I would post a little about an iPod cleaner/buffer that I recently had the opportunity to try out. I had numerous small scratches and marks on the screen and on the white acrylic plastic of the front of my iPod. As anyone who owns one knows, you become very attached to your shiny little iPod. I did some reading over at iPodLounge and discovered a few products that they recommended. The one that looked best for my needs was iCleaner. If you're looking for a way to remove those unsightly scratches on your iPod (or iBook, cell phone, or any other gadget) this stuff is great. For about $30 I got enough to clean a dozen or more iPods, and it works like a charm!

If you're new here, why not check out the Freebie Congas! Sign up and get some cool free gear, check out the proof pics to the left, I am up over $2000 so far!

04/29/05 - Crap! Big news!

For anyone who hasn't heard, PrizeCube has shut their doors for good. They claim to be unable to "financially sustain" themselves. Needless to say, I am going to have to get rid of my congas for PrizeCube. Too bad, they were a good site back in the day. They sent me $160 back in December. Bummer...just for clarity, I no longer support PrizeCube as a freebie site!

In other news, we had a member of the FreePSP conga graduate into the approval process today! Congrats! Anyone who wants to get in on the action, Join the freePSP Conga!!

04/26/05 - Power is back...

Sorry for the downtime, my power is back up and we're back in business. Hope you liked the boring replacement site for the day. Check out the link below for yesterdays big news...a new freebie conga!

04/25/05 - New Conga, new site!

I said I wouldn't do anymore sites until I had wrapped up the ones I am working on, but here it is. I was tempted into doing it again. This site is awesome, they have wireless media servers that can play MP3 and video files from your PC through your home stereo, wirelessly! Only 4 referrals, and they have a few good ones right now. PetChews and Blockbuster are both highly recommended as easy to do and quick to credit.

Join WiFiMusic.4NoCash.com today and get started on your own WiFi music player. They also have a $150 cash option for those interested. This site is just too cool to pass up if you ask me.

04/20/05 - SharePod v1.8 - Awesome iPod freeware

I recently came upon a great little piece of software (SharePod) for the iPod that you should definitely check out if you own an iPod and don't like to use iTunes all the time.

This is 100% freeware, and the guy who writes it is a really awesome. The program runs directly off your iPod hard drive, so there's no reason to even have iTunes installed on your machine (or a friend's PC for that matter) in order for you to manage the music on your iPod. The best thing is, with SharePod you can transfer music OFF YOUR iPOD and back onto your computer. It even lets you set up your iPod as a share over a network if you want to, so you can get to your music from anywhere on your network! Haven't you ever wanted to share a song with a friend, and couldn't get it off the iPod? Or simply back your music up to a PC? Now you can.

It can create WinAmp playlists, export XML files for iTunes to import, and many more features as well. Check out the SharePod Homepage for all of the info. I highly recommend getting this little app, and if you like it you should donate some cash to this guys snack fund, so he keeps putting out more great stuff like this! I haven't used iTunes since I got this software, and this latest release blows most of the other third party iPod software out of the water. Did I mention it's free??

04/17/05 - Zens4Free payment received!

Good news, I got my money from Zens4Free tonight! I opted out of getting my Zen micro, and intead got $200 in PayPal funds! Not too shabby at all. Here's a timeline about how the process went. I highly recommend Zens4Free, and the rest of the Cool4Free sites. Visit Zens4Free for links to his other sites, including a PSP site and a skate board accessory site.

02/02 - Signed up, no offers interested me so I waited
04/07 - I have 4 greens...now to complete an offer!
04/08 - Complete MyDailyDose offer, it's cheap and seems interesting
04/09 - Got my fifth green, now only mine needs to go through
04/09 - Got credit for my offer, and submit for approval
04/11 - Submitted my order for a Zen micro, after being approved
04/14 - Found Anything4Free.com forums where owner was offering Paypal instead, so I switched!
04/17 - Got my $200 paypal payment from Zens4Free! Rock on.

I highly recommend Zens4Free...it's a nice change from Gratis and Offercentric, give it a shot.

04/15/05 - Zens4Free still waiting

Well, I am still waiting on Zens4Free. I may be opting for a Paypal payment instead of the Zen. The site owner is offering some people the option of Paypal instead of their items. I will keep you posted as to how that goes.

I still have plenty of Yahoo 360 invites to give away. So if anyone is interested, drop me an email using the link at the top of the page.

I added a new conga for the new OfferCentric flat screen site. Hop on if you're interested, check the congas page using the link at the top of the page for that one and all of the others. Offercentric is a good company, with a great reputation for sending stuff out quickly. Give this one a try.

04/11/05 - Conga updates...

Well, I ordered my Zen Micro from Zens4Free.com today. I am not sure when the ship dates are, but last I knew he shipped out twice a month, so maybe I will make the tail end of the current order if it goes out on the 15th. I hope so, I will keep everyone posted as I find out more.

Since I am there updating the conga for Zens, I am also updating some of the other congas and cleaning house a bit. If your name disappears, it's because I haven't heard from you in a long time. I'll do my best not to remove people if I have heard from them, otherwise I will assume you are done or never come here to update me anymore!

Need a portable gaming system? Sure, everyone does. Sign up at one of the sites below to get one of your own!
FreePSPs.com - Sony PSP portable gaming/media machine
Ds4free - NintendoDS or $150 Cash

04/09/05 - Zens Progress!

Well, I have my 5 referrals for Zens4Free now, I am just waiting for my own offer to finally get credited now. I did the MyDailyDose offer, and it never went through so now I am waiting for a response from the admin. They are going through a server upgrade so they're a bit backed up. I'll let you all know how the ordering process goes.

Also, I got my FreeFlatscreens.com account taken off hold, so if you want to join up on that one I am working on getting my last few refs there as well. I cleaned up the Flatscreen Conga because no one had updated me on their current status in awhile...so it's a new game, with a new list. I may clean the other congas soon.

Last but not least, someone help Jono get his 10th referral on FreeDesktopPC.com, he's at 9 greens and looking for one last person to help him out!

04/04/05 - Gmail Spooler...

There's a cool site out there which helps people get Gmail accounts. I have started donating all of my Gmail invites to the spooler, so everyone can get their own account, and hopefully none will go to waste. The link to the spooler is below, in case you need an invite. If you have an account, please head on over to the site and donate your invites! And if you want to help out in a little game I am playing, donate them under the name 'JiggyByte' (without the quotes). I am trying to make JiggyByte the top donator on the site. If you want to help, just log into your Gmail account and click the Settings link up at the top, and change your nickname to 'JiggyByte', then head on over to the site below and follow the directions to submit all of your invites. We want to be number one!!

http://isnoop.net/gmail/

Make sure to save your changes on your Gmail page so that your nickname is saved before submitting the invites! Even if I am the only one submitting invites, I should break the top 25 soon!

04/01/05 - April Fools

Ok, so I have collected a few of the funnier things I saw online today, and posted links here. Please feel free to send me any funny stories or links that you saw that I may have missed. I love this kind of stuff. Also, any good office gags that you witnessed or pulled off, I want to hear those too! Email me with the link at the top of the page.

ThinkGeek Store - iCopulate, transfer data straight from one iPod to another!

iPotty - Toilet/iPod combo?, for the Japanese market only, an iPod dock built into the throne so you can enjoy your music while you....read?

NASA discovers water on Mars - Yes, this is actually on a government web page, see where your tax dollars go??!! Funny though.

Wave to Google! - A post on a forum about how the Keyhole satellite will be flying over the US today (you missed it) so we should all wave hello!

And some real news, if you visit Gmail - you will see that the kind folks at Google have increased the available space to 2GB per person! The counter on the main page is actually correct, and we will all hit 2GB at midnight. This is true, and in honor of the 1yr anniversary of Gmail. For Google news that is funny nut not true, visit The GoogleGulp homepage. (btw, Anyone who needs a Gmail invite, I have hundreds to spare. Just email me)

Last but not least, I have updted my blogspot.com page and matched the color scheme in preparation for me moving in a few weeks. Since my servers will be down until the move is complete, I set up this page so I can hopefully not be totally down. I will attempt to have at least the congas and the front page over there during the move. Don't worry, it will be several weeks before the move takes place...

03/30/05 - Spring is here!

Ahhh...the beautiful Spring weather has been keeping me away from the computer this week. Why not take the opportunity to sign up for a new site, and help each other get some free stuff! Try any or all of the sites below, and let me know who you sign up under. There's still room on the congas, and maybe the wonderful spring weather will encourage everyone to help out.

Now that the PSP is out and getting great reviews, let's get that conga moving! And why not get a Nintendo DS (or $150 cash) while you're at it so you can compare them at home?

FreePSPs.com - Sony PSP portable gaming/media machine
Ds4free - NintendoDS or $150 Cash
mp3players4free.com - iRivier/iPod/Cash
dvrs4free.com - Tivo/Cash/Remote
FreeMiniMacs.com - Apple MiniMac Computer with OSX, these things rock!

03/25/05 - Check out this Belkin Tunecast II mod!

Ok, I have had a simple little mod for my Belkin Tuncast on my site for quite some time, and I believe I was one of the first on the web with such a mod, because I get tons of hits from Google, and previously Google didn't have any good results. But if you're a bit more technical than me, and have some talent in circuitry, check out the link below. This guy claims to have gotten a 3 mile range out of his Tunecast! Now, I am sure this violates all kinds of FCC regulations and whatnot, so needless to say do it at your own risk. But, with some research into the limits of the FCC, and some tweaks to the mod, you could probably push the legal limits and still have a huge range on this thing. :-)

(original link removed, now hosted on Jiggybyte.com as a user contribution)

03/24/05 - Long time, no write!

Sorry for the delay between posts, but I have been busy working on another area for the site lately. I will be posting it for everyone to check out in the next few days sometime.

Some interesting news on the Gratis front. I am sure many of you have heard that Gratis accidently shipped DUPLICATE ipod shuffles to many people in the last round of free shuffles. Well, lucky me I was one of them. Bad news is...Gratis has emailed all of us and basically said that it is 'illegal' to keep it, and they are sending a box with pre-paid shipping label for me to ship it back. I haven't gotten the return box yet, but from what I read on the web, most people are going to send it back. My question is, does anyone out there know the legality behind this? Can I legally keep it, if they sent it to me accidently? I am sure I would be on 'forever hold' or something, but I can deal with that if I have to. I am just tossing around ideas here, is it worth trying to keep the $150 item, or should I just send it back? Any lawyers out there who might know anything about this?

Other than that, it has been a slow week for the free sites. People are waiting for the next rush I think. Someone needs to release a groundbreaking new site to get everyone going again...

03/19/05 - PSP coming out soon!

Only 5 days until the official release of the Sony PSP! If you haven't already signed up, get in on this deal now, it's too good to resist. Gratis has reserved hundreds of PSP's to give away.

FreePSPs.com

03/17/05 - Shuffle iPod Arrives! Check out the pics...

You can check out the pictures of my free shuffle iPod on The Shuffle iPod Proof Page. So far, I like the little bugger. It's not packed full of features, and it lacks an LCD screen but it really is a fun little device. It seems to have enough for the average user. If you don't mind refilling your music every couple of days, it is worth the price. One click in iTunes fills your shuffle with as much music as is humanly possible. About 10 minutes later I was listening to 1GB of my favorite tunes! Check it out!

03/16/05 - Gmail sets a date to go live?

Rumors are circulating that Gmail (Googles email service if you are living in the dark) is going to go live on April 1st. For those of you that remember, it went into beta last year on April 1st. Most people thought it was a joke, since 1GB of free email seemed too good to be true one year ago. And to think, now I have more email space than my hard drive space that came with my computer when I bought it. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if they really go live, or if this year it really is a joke! I will have one more massive giveaway to celebrate them (possibly) going live. If you need an account, I'll have hundreds here waiting for you.

My shuffle will be here tomorrow according to DHL. I can't wait! Thanks Gratis!

03/15/05 - Let's get ready to shuffle..!!

My iPod shuffle shipped out this afternoon, meaning it should be here in a few days judging by past Gratis shipments. I will post pics as soon as I get it unwrapped, and let you know what I think. Now that it shipped, it is time to go on a crusade for getting my Flatscreens and DesktopPC accounts off hold with Gratis...those punks. I haven't cheated on a single site and this is the treatment I get. Sheesh! Stay tuned for details...

03/14/05 - 4FreeSpot.com update

www.4FreeSpot.com

Word on this site is that the best offer to try is the 'Keen' offer. All you have to do is go through a free 3 minute call, and then pay $1.99 for one more minute and then stop. I haven't done it yet, I am still researching the hosting deals. Most people on forums seem to say 'Keen' is the way to go, or else 'Party Poker'. Evidently you can deposit some money, play a few games and then if you aren't happy with your winnings, just wait till all is well and then cash out. Give it a shot, sounds better and easier than the hosting deals, I may decide to do one of those instead.

03/11/05 - Back up and running...

Sorry, I had a bit of an internet outage this evening. Hopefully it is all back up and running now. No other big news today. I am still looking for one more referral for the site from yesterday. Check out the link and the info below for details.

03/10/05 - Awesome new Site!

www.4FreeSpot.com

Ok, here's the latest site, and it has to be the best chance you'll ever have at getting a free item. Here's a list of only some of the great offers...there are a TON of others there as well.

6GB iPod mini = 2 referrals
512 MB iPod Shuffle = 1 referral
20 GB iPod = 3 referrals
Mac Mini = 6 referrals
$200 PayPal = 3 referrals

(when you complete an offer, make sure to check all 4 pages of offers they have, only nine show on the front page)

Now, these are just some of the gifts, they have laptops, desktop PC's, gift cards, the Nintendo DS, the Photo iPod, just about everything you can think of. And all at just about the lowest referral amount of any site I have seen. What's the catch? Well in this case, there is a catch. The offers are almost all web hosting offers. You have to sign up for a month of web hosting, which is not free. But it's ONLY $5! And with only 2 referrals needed for a 6GB mini, you should be able to bribe your friends into trying it out. Just make sure you don't sign up and cancel right away, these companies are going to watch you because they are not the typical free companies, give it the full month and set up a web site to help you get more referrals or something! Make it worth your $5!

So, click the link (www.4FreeSpot.com) to get started, and earn yourself ONE REFERRAL and you get an iPod shuffle! Go for one more and get an iPod mini! Everyone should be able to get at least one, and if you're daring then try for 6 and get a Mac Mini! The offers have been changing a little, with a few non web hosting offers here and there. There are even a few free deals floating in and out, so keep an eye pealed and you can get in for free too.

03/08/05 - Shuffle update...

I am still at the 'Sent To Vendor' stage of my freeipodshuffle order process. Apparently, everyone who was stuck in the processing stage for a month has moved up with me. Reports are that they will be shipping soon, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Ever wanted to have multiple virtual desktops on your Windows machine just like a Unix/Linux machine? Well, one solution is TweakXP from Microsoft, you can get it from their site. A nice (and FREE) alternative is VirtuaWin. It can be customized to look and feel exactly like you want it. They have a ton of little 'modules' that you can add in so that your experience can be customized to only the features you want. Check it out, it's very cool, and worth the download.

03/07/05 - iTunes alternative?

Many of you may have heard about the Russian Mp3 site AllOfMp3.com, but you may not know that the Russian court system found in favor of them today, which more or less means that the RIAA and other international copyright organizations have to leave them alone. There is a loop hole in the Russian copyright laws that lets them distribute the music...so is it legal here? Well, I'm not a lawyer, but if you're looking for a cheap alternative to iTunes, you may want to check them out. For now at least, they get to stay online. You can get an entire album for as little as a dollar! It's worth looking into if you download a bunch of music.

03/02/05 - Photo iPod Arrived!

Here are some pictures of the Free Photo iPod from Gratis! It is still charging right now, I will let you know how it is once it is done and loaded with music!

Photo iPod Pics!

In other excelent news, my Gratis shuffle iPod has been 'Sent to Vendor' so I should be getting that sometime soon as well!

03/01/05 - Photo iPod Conga

There was a problem with the Gmail page yesterday, links were not getting marked as clicked when people used them. It is fixed now, though some may still be labled 'False' incorrectly even though they have been clicked. Please try a different link if it tells you one is already used.

Good news for those on the photoipod conga, the top person has just informed me that he is done. That makes two of us off the top in the last couple weeks, give some help to those on the list now as well. Everyone there was moved up.

02/28/05 - Bottomless invites...

All 50 invites were gone from yesterday so I added 100 new ones tonight. You guys are spinning through them pretty fast. I think this brings my grand total to over 1600...I can't keep track anymore.

I also went to the trouble of getting my Html and Css validated at W3.org, so I added the icons at the bottom. I am sure it means nothing to most of you, but you can appreciate the fact that I am trying to make my site as cross-platform and cross-browser as possible.

02/27/05 - More invites, More Congas

Since all of the last batch of invites were gone, I added 50 brand new ones today. I purged the used ones again, so it's easy to find them.

I also added a couple of new congas today. Both from OfferCentric, one is the Notebooks4free site, 18 referrals for a laptop. The other is their shuffle iPod site, 3 referrals for the 512MB shuffle, or $85 paypal. Click Here to get started on the shuffle ipod, or visit the congas to sign up for either of the offers.

02/26/05 - Gmail page updated, 500 more added

I updated the Gmail page, and added 500 more invites. I also cleaned out all of the old links that had been clicked already. So it's a fresh list, totaling about 700 invites currently. Take a few and enjoy. Visit the Gmail page...

update: well, about 8 hours and 1700 visitors later, I think about 600 of the invites are gone. And Jiggybyte.com survived another day on Slashdot. I think there are about 100 invites left, feel free to grab a few for yourself. Just look for the ones that are labled as not having been clicked.

02/25/05 - Gratis comes through again!

My free Photo iPod from Gratis has shipped! Should be here in a few days. Actually, I should check my mailbox since I haven't done that in a few days...it could be here already, since their website is sometimes a few days behind!

02/24/05 - JiggyByte, Your way

Good news for those who liked the 'Classic' JiggyByte color scheme. The site has been updated to use a cookie to keep track of which stylesheet you prefer. Please select either the 'New light style' or the 'Old dark style' from the menu on the left. This style should be the same on every page on the site, and should remain after you close your browser using a cookie. Like any cookie, you will have to select your preference again if you clear your temporary internet files.

02/23/05 - Maintenance Complete...

I have finished updating the site, and I think I have settled on the design. I'm pretty fond of it, it is a nice change from the dark and gloomy look of the old version. Please email me if you find any dead links anywhere. Also, I would love to hear your comments about the site, good or bad. I am considering offering multiple style sheets for those who don't like this version.

Also, I removed all congas with only one person on them if no one had ever contacted me about them since they were put up. I will continue to take conga requests, but if the congas get no attention from the JiggyByte readers, it will be taken down so I don't have to keep maintaining them. The more popular congas will, as always, be here for as long as I can see into the future.

02/22/05 - New Look For JiggyByte.com

Well, I got tired of the old look. So here it is, what do you think of the new look? Some of the links have moved (been removed) from this main page. I plan on getting some of the links back at the top soon...

02/21/05 - FreePSP Conga is up

To claim your spot, use the links for those in line. The PSP is released on March 24, so there is plenty of time to get in early and have one shipped right when they come out. Gratis is pre-ordering hundreds of them (according to them) so that they can immediately ship those who have already completed the offers as soon as the day comes. Get in now, don't miss out!

Sign up now for FreePSPs.com! They have instant deals (Travelers Advantage is one) that will get us moving right away!

02/18/05 - Keep on rolling along

My photoipods account has been sent to vendor now, waiting on shipment. It's moving along pretty quickly.

FreePSPs.com has several deals that cost only $1 up currently, including Travelers Advantage which is crediting instantly. Give it a shot, these things will be hot items when they are released!

02/17/05 - PhotoiPods, now processing...and another new site!

NEW GRATIS SITE! FreePsps.com (a Sony PSP for 5 refs). It just opened up. If you're waiting for a good site to earn a Sony PSP, this is it. Sign up and make sure to verify your email address, then complete an offer. There are several good ones. Complete Home and Travelers Advantage are there for $1, you have a one month trial. Sign up HERE at FreePSPs.com and start earning today!

My Gratis freePhotoiPods.com account was approved for an order. I am now processing on both that site and the FreeiPodshuffle.com site. With any luck, I will get them soon. Apparently most people are stuck in the processing stage for the shuffle because Apple just can't ship them fast enough. I guess good things come to those who wait (hopefully).

There are still a few Gmail accounts over on the Gmail Page. Feel free to grab a few...as I have a couple hundred more now!

02/13/05 - Good news again!

My photoiPods account finally got a 10th green, and I submitted it for approval. If all goes well, I will be able to place my order in 3-5 business days. I expect no troubles, but Gratis is getting pretty picky with referrals, so hopefully all of my greens were/are well behaved.

The Gmail page is still going strong, I think there are currently about 100 left. After the post I made on Slashdot, they got hit pretty hard but I just have too many to give away! Get them while they're here. Of course there will likely be another mass posting later this week once my invites recharge again.

02/12/05 - Automated Gmail Invite Page...

Ok, so I finally found a way to somewhat effectively give out my 500 Gmail invites. This brings my grand total here to close to 1000.

Visit the New And Improved Gmail Page for an invite if you need one. Google appears to be ramping up for release of Gmail to the public, because I just keep getting hundreds of invites. Here's my latest batch. Please take only one or two, so everyone can get in on the action. It keeps track of the links people have clicked on, so it should be easier to find one for yourself...please don't abuse the system and click random links without signing up. I did this for everyone's benefit, but I can just as easily take it down if people screw with it.

Tomorrow or Monday the link to the Gmail page goes on Slashdot, so get them now before they're all gone.

02/12/05 - Pocket Rockets, no more

I have taken the FreePocketRockets.com conga down, because according to the message on their site they are closing down on March 1st. They are also saying that Search Cactus (a site that most of these free-sites use as referral partners) has revoked all deals, and people may lose credit for them...sounds bad to me. I'd stay away from them if I were you. They do claim they will still honor all orders which get placed by March 1st, so if you're close to being done you'd better hurry up.

Gmail giveaway is coming soon, I promise. I have been trying to find a way to give away 500 invites without having one big ugly page of links.

Here's a few popular deals which are still moving along...please help people out and try one.
Zens4Free.com - Zen Micro/Olympus m:robe
mp3players4free.com - iRivier/iPod/Cash
dvrs4free.com - Tivo/Cash/Remote
Ds4free - NintendoDS or $150 Cash
FreeMiniMacs.com - Apple MiniMac

02/08/05 - Great News!

I am now off hold on my FreePhotoiPods.com account! I am once again in the market for buying my last referral. I am offering $30, but it is first come first serve. I have a couple people who should be responding soon that have already shown interest, but feel free to email me to find out if the deal is still on. You MUST go green, and I will then submit my account to Gratis. Once your referral is APPROVED by Gratis, you get your $30 PayPal. So you can't just sign up and then cancel the next day, you have to actually try the deal for the whole trial period...Gratis is getting picky about this.

I am still processing my order on ShuffleiPods, but I am through the approval stage now, just waiting to be sent to vendor. I expect all to go well there, but since the shuffles are backordered on many sites, it may be awhile before you get my review up here.

Many new congas have been added, I encourage you all to click around on them to see if there are any freebies you are interested in. I can't feature them all here since there are so many, but there are a ton of cool ones out there these days.

Also, the Gmail giveaway is still coming. It is taking me a long time to weed through the several hundred invites, but they will all be posted soon.

The front page was getting a bit long, so I added a bunch of stuff to the archive HERE...

02/06/05 - Olympus m:robe on Zens4Free.com!

For anyone who watched the commercials for the Super Bowl tonight, you probably noticed the sweet new camera/mp3 player by Olympus called the m:robe. Well, Zens4Free has it up now as a choice for your free gift. 5 referrals needed for the 5GB model, 10 referrals needed for the 20GB model. These things are sweet, you gotta get in on this one. Here's a page over at Olympus if you want to check them out. Sign up quick, I sure want one after seeing them on TV tonight. By the way, Go Patriots! My boy Brady did it again.

02/05/05 - Gmail going live soon?

There could be some big news from Google soon. Gmail, which has up until this point been Beta test, and by invitation only could soon be going live. At least that's my hunch. Each of my accounts that I use on a regular basis has just gotten 50 Gmail invites each. Now granted, most people don't have 50 friends itching to get an invite, but to me this says Google is ready to seriously expand their servers and the Gmail program in general. I'll be giving all of mine away here on Jiggybyte.com in the next few days. If you want one before the bonanza, send me an email and I will make sure you get one. Otherwise, it'll be over 200 invites in one mass posting! Youch..I hope Gmail is ready for some traffic. Check back in a few days for the invites, most likely Monday or Tuesday.

Update on the number of invites...there will be no less than 300 invites given away, possibly as many as 500. Expect it in the next couple days, I may have to link to an exterior server to avoid bandwidth problems, we'll see.

02/04/05 - New Congas, great free stuff!

Hey all, just a quick not to say that there is now a conga for the Zens4Free where you get a sweet Zen Micro for 5 referrals, and also one for OddTech4Free, which is offerring the new Sony PSP for only 4 referrals! Check it out, and be one of the first people in the US to get a PSP.

I have submitted my order on shuffleiPods.com now, and my order is processing. Thanks to all who signed up for me. I moved the conga up, and am hoping for the best on the photoipod now. I'll keep you posted. Enjoy the weekend.

02/03/05 - A little humor for your life...

Here's a couple of sites I stumbled across in the course of the day yesterday...hope you enjoy.

Ask Snoop - Have him translate your page for you with the Shizzolator!
Pimp out your name, gangsta style!

Come on, for those two wonderful pages you can at least help get the Zens4Free process moving! Only 5 referrals needed, which usually takes only a couple weeks to get done.

02/02/05 - Let's Try A New Site - Zens4Free.com

Because I am tired of Gratis, I decided to try out a new site just for fun, you know to cheer me up. I came across a cool new site with a TON of offers on it that just started last week. The owner promises NEVER to put anyone on hold. If you cheat, you simply get your referrals (that you cheated on) taken away and you have to earn more. Seems fair to me. Current offers include: Columbia House Dvd, NetFlix, BlockBuster Online, Efax, Stamps.com, BMG, and about 20 others.

Now the important part...what do you get? You get one of the awesome new Zen Micro for only 5 referrals, or one of their 40Gb Zens for 6 referrals, which is pretty unheard of. Or if CASH is your thing, 5 refs for $250 paypal. The site sounds good, a twist on the typical freesite and the owner assures they are going to ship the first of every month. So get in early and earn your free Zen!

Sign Up For Zens4Free.com - Brand new Zen Mp3 player site

Naturally, the conga will be started as soon as someone else signs up...I encourage you to try sites like this one, because Gratis and the other big sites are getting into a rut and all pretty much look the same these days.

02/02/05 - Back in Action...

My shuffle ipod account was taken off hold today, and I resubmitted it for approval to place my order. Hopefully things are all straightened out there now, and within a few days I should be processing my order. Who kows when I will actually get the shuffle though, since I think they are backordered everywhere. D'OH! Oh well, better free than never as I like to say.

My Photoipods is still on hold, with 9 greens. I was put on hod there because of my shuffle account being on hold come to find out. So that one should be cleared up soon as well. We'll wait to see on that one, but I may be needing one last offer there soon. I'll keep you posted. But so it seems, if you really did nothing wrong Gratis will work with you to get things straightened out. I will keep my fingers crossed.

02/01/05 - Perhaps some progress..

I think I might be on the right track with Gratis soon. They have finally responded positively to one of my customer inquiries. I'm still on hold, but I think I at least have them taking a closer look now. And since I have done nothing wrong, I am optomistic that things will go well. In addition, my previously voided referral has once again gone green for me on shuffle iPods, so once I am off hold, I should be able to place my order quickly. We'll see. I may need an additional Photo iPods referral though, so check back here if you might be interested in getting some cash for my last needed referral.

Until then, try one of these other deals. They're still alive and kickin'

mp3players4free.com - iRivier/iPod/Cash
dvrs4free.com - Tivo/Cash/Remote
Ds4free by Offercentric - NintendoDS/Cash
FreeMiniMacs.com - Apple MiniMac computer AWESOME!

Gratis is getting on my nerves...

Well, because of my referral getting rejected (or some reason I am unaware of) my iPod shuffle account is on hold, in addition to my photoiPod account. I have an ongoing conversation with Gratis about why they are on hold, but I'm doing my best to get off. Yes, I will need one more green for each one to the best of my knowledge once I get off hold. Currently I am not offerring the bribes until I find out for sure I am going to get off hold. I don't know why I wouldn't get off, because I haven't violated the terms of service myself. Only one of my referrals has gotten suspended, so I don't think it should take too long to get off hold. We'll see. I have heard of a bunch of people who get put on hold, and never get off. I don't plan on giving in until I either get off hold, or make so much of a fuss they will seriously regret it...

Other than that, no big news from Jiggybyte.com lately. I've been pretty busing shopping for a new house, and we're just getting through with the busy season at work. I'll keep everyone posted on how my Gratis deals work out...keep your fingers crossed.

FreeiPodShuffle, back to work...

Well, one of my greens was rejected by Gratis. I really need one more green now, because I want to resubmit my shuffleiPod account ASAP so I can finish up and get off the conga again. Join up, and help out at freeipodshuffle.com. I am willing to pay $20 for my last green if you email me about it. I want to make sure it is someone legit, so Gratis has nothing to complain about.

No other big news, photo ipods is on hold still. No response yet, so I sent them another message about that one. So long as I get off hold soon, I am ok with that but they had better hurry up! Between that and my shuffleiPod, I have had bad luck this week.

Tuesday, January 25, 2005

Good news! And no news!

The good news is that I have my three greens for shuffleiPods! My account is currently in the review process, and I should know within 5 days if I am approved for my shuffle iPod! I am geeked about that one. Those things look pretty awesome. I updated the conga, and bumped it up one notch, so help out those guys now!

The 'no news' is that I am still on hold with photoipods...I got a response to my first customer service inquiry, and they asked for my shipping address and name. So I took that as a good sign. I gave it to them, and am waiting on a response for this one. Hopefully it won't be too long. The weird thing is, shuffle iPods didn't even start the verification process until I submitted my account. Whereas photoiPods told me I was rejected before I even submitted my account! Weird...but I hope it gets straightened out soon. I'll keep you posted on that one. Thanks for all who have helped, and those still looking to help someone should use the conga still to find someone to refer under.

PhotoiPods on hold, Yikes!

I have some unfortunate news, Gratis has decided to (for now) put me on hold for the photoiPods deal. I have no idea why, and I have a request for support in on their web page. They say I have referrals who are not unique, which comes as a shock to me, since as far as I know none of my referrals even know each other! I expect that tomorrow I will hear back from them, I doubt they work on the weekends. But in any case, I obviously can't pay for my 10th referral if I am on hold. The note I got from them says I have all 10 now, although only 9 show up green right now. Who knows, I will keep you posted. And you can bet I won't let them cheat me out of my referrals without a fight!

In other news, I am still looking for one last referral on freeipodshuffle.com. Only three referrals needed for that one. Try the Nexiderm offer, it credits instantly and is free for the trial period! And come one, you know you (or your significant other) could use some free Nexiderm products!

PStwo (Slim PS2) Hack! - $35 for photoipod bribe?

I recently ordered some goodies in order to 'mod' my PStwo that I got free from PrizeCube. I got some Swap Magic 3.3 disks, and something they call Magic Switch. Short story, it took me about 15 minutes (maybe because I am dumb and slow) and $30 to have my PStwo playing backup and import games. And the kicker...NO VOIDING THE WARRANTY. That's right, you don't even have to open the case. And if I want to take the mod out and restore it to factory condition, it takes about 30 seconds. Read up in the PS2 forums HERE to see how. Literally, it takes minutes and costs basically nothing. I 100% recommend doing it if you own a PStwo Slim.

Also, since I have had three people back out on my $25 bribe for the last freePhotoiPods.com referral that I need, I am bumping it up to $35 cold hard PayPal cash. Soon as you go green, the green is yours. Sign up here to get your money. Email me to make sure you're the first one. It's first come first server.

FREE GMAIL!! And the No-Credit Card offer is Still Around!

If you still need a free Gmail account, click on over to the GMAIL PAGE and pick one up. There are over 40 of them there right now. The ones that make it through tomorrow will get posted on Slashdot, so get them now before it's too late.

The no credit card deal (Call Wave) is still floating around on the Gratis sites. The deal has been up and down all day, but I highly recommend trying it out. There are also several $1 deals to try if you can't get Call Wave. It's a good time to join the Gratis sites, lots of options.

No-Credit Card offer on Shuffle iPod and all Gratis sites!
New MiniMacs Conga

There is a NON Credit Card offer on freeipodshuffle.com right now! It is the Call wave offer. It's a cool service that transfers calls from your cell phone to another number, so you can screen calls or take messages without using your cell minutes. It credits INSTANTLY, and requires no credit card. 30 day free trial, $3.95/mo after that. pretty awesome deal. Sign up now, before it is gone for good!

I am starting a conga for the FreeMiniMacs.com site by Gratis. They have the same Call Wave offer for this site, so sign up NOW and get your offer done for free with no credit card at all! If you move fast, it should be easy. Remember, only do the Call Wave offer once because if you do it on multiple sites, you risk getting suspended.

freePhotoiPods.com and freeipods.com also have the Call Wave deal, so now is the time to start a Gratis site if you were waiting for a great (and TRULY FREE) deal!

Exciting News, at least for me.

Jiggybyte.com is nearing its 100,000th hit! We're at 95,000 and counting! Keep up the clicking, and tell everyone to visit. We should reach 100K in the next 5 or 6 days!

Lazy Sunday

Time to sit back and surf a bit, relax and enjoy some football or something. And while you're out there being lazy like me, why not try one of the offers below. All come highly recommended because I have completed offers from the companies sponsoring these sites. Gratis and Offercentric are both reliable and honest companies.

mp3players4free.com - iRivier/iPod/Cash highly recommended, very fast
dvrs4free.com - Tivo/Cash/Remote
Ds4free by Offercentric - NintendoDS/Cash

Enjoy your Sunday, and lets all get some free stuff!

TGIF!!

Another week down, time to go have some fun everyone! Why are you here reading my site? And why am I here updating it? It's Friday, go have some fun! Really though, no big news today. 4 yellows and going strong on the ipod shuffle so far. I am pretty sure that at least two of those will go green. And no one has claimed a spot on the conga! Meaning that whoever gets my (theoretically) final green will be top on the conga! Come on sign up!

I'll be giving away another round of Gmail invites right here at JiggyByte in the next few days. That will bring the grand total to nearly 300 invites given away! Thanks in part to kind donations from your fellow readers...and in part to my 4 "Gmail generators" as I call them. Anyway, if you need one, email me if you don't want to be part of the race. Otherwise, check back sometime early next week for the giveaway!

Free iPod Shuffle...it's ready!

Seems we jumped the gun a bit. Gratis took the site down until they get it straightened out. But you know what this means, it will be back soon and I'll be ready to go when it's back! I'll keep you posted.

UPDATE...IT'S BACK! Hurry and get in early! JOIN www.freeipodshuffle.com! and get the 1GB model Shuffle iPod for only 3 referrals!

New iPod Shuffle!

Did anyone catch the article on CNN today about the new iPod shuffle? It's a tiny little thing, and looks pretty cool. I did some hunting around, and naturally Gratis has a site up for getting a FREE one!

(edited out till site is back up)

Yup, sign up HERE at www.freeipodshuffle.com and get your own iPod shuffle for only 3 referrals! Their site is a little bit under construction right now, as reported by some people around the web. But I assure you, if you sign up now you'll be in the front of the line. I have successfully signed up, so it works just fine. Come in and complete one offer (Blockbuster Online is my recommended offer, but there are a bunch) and then get three others to sign up! My CONGAS have been updated to include a new one for this site. Come join up early!

(edited again...it's back!)

C# Anyone?

Another busy week at work has come to an end. And as if it wasn't bad enough, I decided to learn the C# programming language this week as well. I've been using C++ for about 7 years now, at school and now at my job so picking up C# isn't too bad. I'd love any recommendations on books that you guys have though. I'll create a forum topic on it, or you can email suggestions to me. Any reference books, or good websites on C# would be appreciated. So far I have been using CodeProject.com for the most part, along with a book I got.

No real updates available on the free deals this week. Things are moving along ok, but Christmas slowed things a little bit. Let's get some moving again! Help out the people on the congas! See my post below from Monday for recommended links to great free sites! I know you didn't get all of those freebies for Christmas, so you still need something!

Oh, and yes I am still offerring the bribe for the freePhotoiPods.com deal, I have had a few people contact me, but no one new has gone gren so you can still earn an easy $25! There's still two more spots to fill!

Dvrs4Free Timetable

As with the other deals I have completed, here is how the schedule was for me completing my dvrs4free.com offers. As you can see, it took awhile, but Offercentric came through again in the end. They're awesome.

Dvrs4Free.com
10/21 - Signed up, completed my first offer (BlockBuster)
11/23 - Due to 10 yellows/2 green or so, I offer bribes to complete my last 3 DVR offers
11/30 - 5th referral completes, $75 paid out. Ready to go STV
12/01 - Begin Pending for approval
12/09 - Finally Approved, one extra so I decide to go for the remote
12/10 - Complete my second offer, Audible.com
12/18 - Final (7th) green, begin to be approved for bonus gift. $100 total paid out for greens
12/24 - Approved again, Placed order for $275 cash PayPal, and Harmony Remote
12/26 - Recieved PayPal payment of $275 ($175 profit)
12/28 - Got my remote, and LOVE IT. All done.

On a more personal note, I beat GTA San Andreas (on my free PS2) last night. That game was awesome, now I have to go back and get 100% on everything. It was much better than Vice City (which I loved, and played on Xbox/PS2/PC) and I highly recommend picking up a copy if you own a PS2. I have 80 hours of play time into it, and I am still going back for more all the time.

Busy Week...

Work has been quite busy this week, so I have not had much time to sit in front of the computer at home, but I promise I will get to posting my pics and review of the Harmony 688 Remote I got on Tuesday. Suffice to say, it is awesome. I can now control ALL of my devices with one single remote for the first time ever. Including the ReplayTV! It's amazing.

While I was bored for a few minutes, I wandered across a free blogging page. I may have to start using it someday, to spare my bandwidth here at home. Anyway, if you've been looking for a free place to blog, check it out. You can have your own blog up and running in like 5 minutes. My mostly empty blog is Here at Blogspot.com. Don't expect much from mine yet, I will be using this one for the time being. I just figured I would point it out for anyone interested in starting their own.

Short Note for Today

Nothing much to say, except I got my remote from Offercentric today! I am currently learning how to use it, and programming all of my devices. I'll let you all know how it turns out, and get some pics up as well. Until then get started on one of these great offers below, three of which I have already successfully completed!

Good News!

Well, a bunch of good news today! Another graduate from the Offercentric Mp3 players site! Meaning the conga has moved along! Now, let's keep it moving. Next in line, click HERE to sign up and keep things moving. Lots of visitors here checking things out in the past couple of days. Welcome new visitors!

More good news is that my Harmony remote shipped from the Offercentric DVR site...it'll be here in a few days! So click HERE to sign up for that deal. Both of these deals move quickly, and both offer PayPal cash alternatives. They ship fast, and the products are great. Try out the Audible.com or the Blockbuster online deals. I liked them both so well, I still use them.

Get started, help out these two guys:
mp3players4free.com
dvrs4free.com

Once the remote gets here, I will let you know if it's any good...and post a full time line of the Dvrs4free site.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas

I certainly had a great one, I got my $275 from Dvrs4free.com today. Just waiting on the remote now, it has been sent to vendor, so I expect it will show up sooner or later. The iRiver I got (also from Offercentric) showed up very quickly, so the remote shouldn't take too long. I'm sure it'll be here in no time.

Offercentric rocks, so I have no doubt the remote will show up. Visit mp3players4free.com to get an iRiver, iPod, or $275 cash! I recommend the iPod myself, but take your pick. The 5 referrals take no time, give it a shot.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I finally placed my order for the Dvrs4Free a few days ago, I ordered the $275 PayPal check and the bonus gift remote control. I'll keep you updated on how quickly I get my stuff. You would think the PayPal would be there in no time, but we'll see.

I am at 8 greens on the freePhotoiPods.com site now. If anyone is interested in getting a bribe, email me with the email link in the quicklinks section above.

The other deal to try right now would be mp3players4free.com, most people get referrals pretty easily with that one. Several people have successfully gotten their iPod with the help of the congas

Monday, December 20, 2004

It's almost Christmas!

If you are here for the PrizeCube Info, click here.

For everyone else, I think the deal of the week should be the Gratis site freePhotoiPods.com. I am getting very close to being done (8/10) and just need that last push over the hump. Amazingly, this deal is plugging along at a very steady pace. It never seems to rush along like the other deals, but it's a deal that people are always interested in. I recommend signing up if you haven't already. A couple of creatively placed links in your sigs on forums and such will get this deal done with no work at all. All 8 of my referrals have been random people I don't know. What are you waiting for, sign up here and get started yourself!

Sad news for you torrent lovers out there...SuprNova.org was forced to close their doors again. And this time for good. They say that they tried everything to stay alive, but to no avail. The MPAA took them to the woodshed and had their way. So if anyone has any good torrent sites...there's a bunch of people that are going to be looking for a new place to surf.

Saturday, December 18, 2004

Dvr4Free.com is done...

Yup, I finally got my last (as in 7th) referral for my free bonus gift. Now I am awaiting final approval before my money and my remote control ship. Should be pretty sweet!

Remember to check out the congas page, help the rest of the folks here get their stuff as well...

Back to Basics...

Ok, so since I have been gone for a bit I will try to push some action back into the congas now. First conga on my list to get moving? How about Mp3Players4Free.com They are a great site, and it was moving very rapidly last time I pushed it so we'll get it going again. Click here to get started. Only 5 referrals needed, and they offer iPods, iRivers, Rio Carbon, iPod mini, or $275 hard cash in your paypal account. So let's get it moving quickly again, and help some people out. As you all know, I did the deal already, and got an iRiver. The site rocks, they ship fast and are totaly honest. So sign up now and get your own Mp3 player...it's easy!

As usual, any successful referral gets you onto any and all of the congas I host as a reward for helping other JiggyByte.com visitors. I will try to choose a different site moving every week, so we'll be back to the basics.

It's been awhile

I've been pretty busy lately, but I'm still here! No big news on the free stuff front. I am still offerring $25 for one last bribe on the DVR4Free site. Also, I am still working on freePhotoiPods.com. I am getting close to being prepared to offer a bribe here as well. I have 7 green, so it's getting close.

Some interesting news, PrizeCube has partnered with GearLive.com to offer a giveaway every week. Why not go check them out, and maybe win a console!

Any new visitors to the site, go check out the Congas here at JiggyByte, and get started on your own free stuff. It really works if you put a little time into it.

Still one to go...

It seems the DVR site is not of much interest anymore, to my great surprise. I am still looking for that one last referral who wants to make $25 for finishing my bonus gift for me. Paypal payment is yours as soon as you are green. And please don't waste me time if you're not interested. I have removed one person from the conga, because clearly they have no intention of helping others here...which is a shame. I never expect anything in return for what goes on here, but the deal for getting on a conga is and always has been that you complete an offer for someone else, ANYONE not just me.

Want to be that lucky winner of $25? I don't mind if you are only doing it for the cash, just try an offer that seems good and get the money from me, even if you never intend to finish getting referrals for yourself. You still make $25, and if you decide to go on for your own, that's all the better.

Make $25 easy, and help me finish. And get started yourself, you can get up to $350 in cash!

New Cameras4Free Conga

By request, I have added the cameras4free conga, an OfferCentric deal. A great, legit company that takes good care of their customers. Sign up and help our top slot get done...he has most of his referrals already, so you could be the top on the list soon! Visit the conga page with the quick link above.

I am still looking to bribe one more person...$25 CASH to last referral I need at Dvrs4Free.com. They have tons of offers, surely you can find one you like enough to get $25 cash. Blockbuster Online? Audible.com? They have a ton, so please check them out and earn some cash in the process.

Approved by DVRs4Free! - One more $25 bribe! - U.S. iRiver firmware?

Ok, so I am finally approved. Now I have another bribe for some lucky person. I have 6 greens now, due to previous bribes working so well, so I kind of overshot by one. The good news is that I went ahead and completed my second offer, so now I only need one more to get my bonus gift as well.

So, the first person to go green for me gets $25, and a seat on all of the congas they want to be on. I recommend doing the Audible.com offer, because it only costs $2.99 and you can cancel online if you're not happy with it. I love it personally, and might keep it for a few months. It's awesome, you get two full length audio books for the $2.99 trial! First one to sign up here at Dvrs4Free.com under me is the lucky winner of $25. I paid out the other money for the original bribes before I was even approved because I wanted to be straight up...it's a win for you and for me.

Feel free to do any offer, but the first one who goes green is going to get paid so I recommend the Audible one, it has been the fastest for me. There are several other good ones that are free, but may not credit as fast. Why wait, Be the first one and get paid.

Ok, so now that I am done pimping my bribes, I will do a great service to those of you who have managed to flash European or Korean firmware onto your iRiver players, and want to get the US version back on it. The official answer from iRiver is that you have to send it back to them and get it replaced. Well, that's not true. Here's a link to the US iRiver Firmware 1.02, which is the same version that comes installed on the player in the US. This link is on the iRiver America site, so it is 100% safe and legit.

Unfortunately, according to iRiver you disabled the DRM on the US player when you flashed the foreign firmware, and this cannot be restored by flashing the US version back onto it. I cannot verify that this is true, because I sold my iRiver. D'oh! But anyway, I downloaded the file here, in case the server goes down. Let me know if the link goes bad, and please enjoy flashing your US iRiver back to factory specs...or modding the hex file and doing all kinds of fun things. Hope this helps some of you out there...this U.S.iRiver firmware has been impossible to find until now.

Just wanted to let everyone know that OfferCentric is now offering $145 cash as an anternate to a Nintendo DS. There was some concern by people that the DS would take forever to get because they are out of stock at the stores. Well, now is the chance. Here's a legit company offering $145 CASH to your PayPal account for doing the offer. Help Me Out and sign up and get some cash or a Nintendo DS.

Grrr...still waiting

Still waiting on approval from Offercentric and Dvrs4free.com for my order. I am only being this patient because I know they will ship it soon...since I got my iRiver from them so quickly last time. I am still working on my freePhotoiPods.com and my DS4free.com offers. Tons of yellows on them, and about half done with the greens on FreePhotoiPods...only one green on the Nintendo DS. I am looking for a few generous people willing to sign up for the DS offers...I'll make it up to you somehow.

Did anyone see the fake Cnn site that was up yesterday, claiming that he was arrested in Canada? I'd love to find a mirror to the site, because the ORIGINAL is down now...

Also, I encourage you to check out a site that some friends of mine are setting up to display and/or sell their artwork. The address is www.goodstuffstudios.com. They are just setting it up, and want some traffic so they can eventually show up in the search engines. Go click around if you have a few minutes, they have some pretty cool stuff.

Offercentric Looking for Spam?

Anyone who has signed up for the OfferCentric deals should have gotten an email this morning letting you know that they are now actively hunting down people who are spamming their referral links to forums and newsgroups. They say that if they find your referral link in any newsgroup that doesn't allow it, they will disqualify you. Good luck remembering where you posted it!

FYI, you will always be allowed to post to my forums, so no worries. Anyone who does get disqualified, I'd like to hear about it. Feel free to go hog wild here in my forums.

Site Update...

I added the quicklinks section which will always be at the top center of the home page now...also, I consolidated the congas to one page to make it easier for people to sign up and check the lists.

I also archived off a bunch of the news from the bottom of the homepage. If you're looking for a post that is no longer on the front page, it is Here in the archives.

Anyone have any suggestions?

While I am waiting to be approved officially for the DVR site, I was thinking of any deals that I had not started that might be of interest to other people reading the site. Anyone with any ideas, visit the forums and post there. I am curious what other deals are out there that not everyone knows about.

No news on the free deals in the last couple of days...a few more yellows and still pending on the DVR site. Things have been busy on the site though, still getting a couple hundred peeps here checking stuff out every day.

Still looking for that perfect gift for someone? I recommend the two sites below when you're looking for a deal on something.

SlickDeals.net
PriceGrabber.com

Pricegrabber takes the prices from all over the Net and lists them in one handy location. They have a rating system, so you can trust the sites you're buying from. SlickDeals is a user-submitted site where people post all of the coupon codes and special packages that you can buy to save money on the itmes. I have seen a $300 LCD monitor go for $100 after special deals on shipping, just because you bought some strange combination of things. Very interesting site, and quite a steal when they have something you need. It's updated every day.

DVRs4Free.com complete...

I am now pending approval for my Dvrs deal. Thanks to the three people who took me up on the bribe. And also to the ones who contacted me with the interest that did not make the cutoff. I may be offering to pay for other deals soon, so keep tuned in. I have contacted those who will be getting the money, so please reply if you are one of them. I'll get the money out ASAP.

Hit my freePhotoiPods.com or my DS4free.com offers and you'll be first in line when I decide to pay out. I get bored easy, so I may pay eventually...but isn't it worth it for your very own free gift!?

Grand Total of free stuff for me so far?? $300 iPod + $300 iRiver + $160 PS2 + $275 DVR - $75 bribes = $960. Not too shabby I would say. C'mon and let's get rolling on the DS or the photo iPod!

DVR Bribes are over for now...

I should have enough for the DVR now...I am waiting on the last ones to go green, but if everyone goes green that told me they did offers for the $25, then I will be done. Thanks to those folks. I will get you the money ASAP, once my 5 greens are there for sure.

Anyone interested in $15 for the freePhotoiPod referrals I have left? I'm just throwing that one out there...if there is interest I will offer a payout for that one as well.

I ordered a ton of stuff from Amazon.com with my PrizeCube Gift Certificate. I finished off my Xmas shopping, and then went out and got a PS2 slim from Toys 'R Us here in town, since I could justify it was the $160 from PrizeCube that I spent...and boy do I love my new PS2! Thanks PrizeCube! Now back to San Andreas...

Conga Updates...

I will be updating the congas soon...anyone who has not contacted me recently should do so this week. I reserve the right to remove and/or shuffle people to the bottom if they do not contact me. Those who are in contact regularly, no worries you can only move up. Those who never email me, I assume you are dead or finished with the deal so you get moved down. Seems fair to me. The exceptions are the DVR conga and the freeiPhotoiPod conga, those are relatively new, so they will remain mostly unchanged.

Keep those referrals coming, I only need one more for the DVR site...$25 bribe is still in effect.

Dvrs4free.com Free Tivo or $275 in cash (4/5 referrals $25 cash to whomever completes my last offer)

Amazon Gift Certificates from PrizeCube

Here it is folks...proof that PrizeCube is legit. I know I had my doubts early on, but they're legit as can be now. I got my $160 Amazon gift card today. I opted for this instead of having the console shipped to me to speed things up. You still have the option of geting the console, but it will take a long time due to the holidays I would imagine.

My PrizeCube proof...it works!

My next mission? (DVR now done...switched to freephotoipod!) Finish the Gratis site freePhotoiPods.com. Get a 40GB photo iPod, these things go for like $499 in the stores, get one for FREE!

DS4free.com Free Nintendo DS (14 yellow, 4 green needed)

Nintendo DS for free Offercentric!

Finally, the deal I have been waiting for! The Nintendo DS for free from Offercentric! I know they are legit because they already sent me an iRiver, so I am sure as heck doing this one. Only 4 referrals needed, should be no problem. Sign up below, and get on the conga!

DS4free.com by Offercentric - Only 4 referrals!
I did the GoToMeeting offer and have been credited already, so that is a good one to do, and free for 15 days.

Also, the PrizeCube conga is reinstated...they are on my good side now, my order has been sent to vendor. Last step is to go to shipped. It should be quick, since I plan on choosing the gift card.

So far so good...I am still bribing you $25 for DVR referrals...read below for details.

Ready, Set PayPal !!

Due to the fact that I have a ton of yellows, and only a couple of greens (completed) on my Dvrs4free.com offer, I am prepared to sacrifice some of my gift in order to complete it. I plan on choosing the $275 PayPal when I get my gift, so I figure I will spread the wealth. I need 3 more people to go green, and I will offer $25 for each of the next three people who complete an offer AND show up as completed for me. This means, naturally, that you cannot just sign up and expect to get my money. But assuming I get my three greens, you will get your money. Email me using the link at the bottom of the right hand column of this page to see if I have already gotten enough people, or else you may end up being an extra referral and thus get no money. I'm good for the deal, no worries. Just sign up and get $25 when you show as completed, it's that easy. And if you want to, continue on and get your own Tivo or some money of your own! I will add you to the conga if you want, as usual.

Dvrs4free.com - Sign up and get $25 from me as a bonus!

No update yet on PrizeCube, but I emailed them for an update, and the email did not bounce so they are keeping their word so far. Good for them, I hope they keep it up. I will let you know when I get an update on my order...

Communication from PrizeCube

Out of the blue, PrizeCube emailed me telling me they have fixed their problems with the email server, and that the quota should no longer be exceeded as much. This was not in response to anything I had sent since my order...this was totally out of the blue, and I think they wanted to let me know that you guys are being listened to. And sure enough, I replied to them and I got a confirmation email saying they got my response. Now, I need to clear up one thing for you guys. You will still get an error like the one below, even when the message goes through:

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at globat.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out."

Now, notice it does NOT say anything about the quota being exceeded, if you see the quota is exceeded, it is bad. But if you get the message above, you should also get an email like the one below:

"Thank you for contacting us! This is an auto notification that we have recieved your email. One of our staff members will get to your issue as soon as they can. Thank you once again!
If your asking about recieving credit, please wait at least one day and a half. We credit you the next day.
- PrizeCube.com Support"

That's your confirmation you got through...so if you get it relax and give them time. If you don't get it, then try again in a few hours....they assure me that they have the problem under control now, and to the best of my knowledge it looks good. The last two emails have gone through the first time for me...which is a great improvement. Big thumbs up to PrizeCube, they're trying. Let's hope they indeed have everything under control. Still having problems? Email me with the link on the right of this page and let me know.

PrizeCube update...good news.

Well, my recent email discussion with PrizeCube is over. And I came out on top this time. They finally accepted that I did not create two accounts, and approved me for my order. I submitted my order for a PS2, and should hear within a couple of days about shipping info. I believe they are still let you choose some kind of gift card instead, which I will likely do and then buy the PS2 in the store instead. I will keep you all posted.

So for now, I recommend that if you are thinking about PrizeCube, it looks like they are a fairly honest company. They have a problem with their email that definitely makes it hard to correspond, but I finally got through by attempting emails several times a day. That seems to be their major flaw. If you are very careful, and make sure to follow their rules, it seems they are willing to send out your free stuff. Be prepared though, and be patient. Thumbs up to PrizeCube for now, I will keep you posted and let you know when I get the goods.

See below for the offers that are still on my list...help me out and we'll see if they are legit as well.

freePhotoiPod and PrizeCube

First, the good news. I got another reply from PrizeCube support (finally) and they are still looking into my account for me. The bad news is they think I am using some kind of proxy here at home. Well, this is definitely not the case, but I do live in an apartment complex with lots of college kids, so it is possible someone else here in my apartment complex signed up, but I don't think the leasing office is running a proxy either...but what do I know. Well, actually I know I didn't cheat, and only have one account. I have been honest on every one of these "free sites" and PrizeCube is the only one to hassle me so far. I hope we get it figured out soon.

So, I invited the PrizeCube support staff to come visit the page...hopefully they will realize I am not trying to cheat them, and all I want is for this offer to work so I can tell all of YOU about it. And there are a lot of eyes here, waiting for my results. Do a search on Google or Yahoo for "PrizeCube Console" and see who comes up so damn close to the top it ain't even funny. Of course, that's probably how you got here, so I don't need to tell you that. I really hope they can see that I am trying my best to promote them, but they are making it so difficult!

In other news, freePhotoiPods is moving along pretty well. I have nearly 20 yellows now. Due to the fact that Gratis now requires you to complete your offers, and usually even requires that you go into the first month of service for your offer, the deals are no longer free for the most part. In particular, it says you must order movies and continue past the two week trial period for BlockBuster online. And several other offers say similar things. So if you signed up and have not recieved credit...PLEASE FINISH YOUR OFFER. Do BlockBuster, get some movies and enjoy them. it is a great service, I use it here and have kept it for several months now.

freePhotoiPods.com (PhotoiPod by gratis, 5 referrals)
Dvrs4free.com (Tivo or $275 Cash by offercentric, 5 referrals)
Mp3players4free.com (iPod/iRiver etc or $275 Cash by offercentric, 5 referrals, I am done and have my iRiver)
FreeiPods.com (iPod/iPod mini by Gratis, I am done help this guy)

PrizeCube Saga Continues

Due to the PrizeCube fiasco, I am not promoting any new offers for myself for now. Please continue to sign up for the two deals I am primarily working on, and the three I have successfully finished (to help others).

So I finally heard back from PrizeCube about my account suspension. It seems they think I have two accounts registered from my computer, which is not true at all. I am the only one who ever signed up using my computer, and indeed the only one who signed up at this address. So this begs the question, are they trying to screw me over or are they legitimately confused? The vote is still out on that one, it seems that my situation is not rare, there are many people in my position that are posting on their forums. I will keep you posted on what goes down, I have written them back again and expect them to delay a couple more days...

(An update on tech support posted above...)

PrizeCube Console Update...

I updated the PrizeCube Conga a couple of days ago. We had another person get all of their referrals. I have some unfortunate news about my own account...it seems that my account has been suspended for the time being. I have not found out the reason yet, but I believe it is because one of my referrals cheated. So I may be needing a replacement referral to once again complete my referrals. The policy they have is to remove the cheater from your list, and allow you to find another one. I will keep you posted.

There are many new free ipod sites coming out, I recommend checking the Gearlive.com forums for the new sites to see if you are interested. I am sticking at the ones I have in process right now, but I can add congas for any sites you are interested in. Click below to help me out and join congas. Remember, the Offercentric sites are now offering CASH as an alternative for your iPod/Tivo/Mp3 player.

iRiver Vs iPod - the review

Ok, here it is by popular request. I have done a full write-up of how I feel about my two free mp3 players that I have recieved so far. It was a close battle, Read the Review to see which one wins. Both players hold up well and have their strengths.

My MTA server testing went well last night, we had some good battles. Please feel free to join me when it is up. It won't be up 24 hrs/day probably, but I can start it whenever you want it going. Just give me some notice and I will try to help you out.

I am currently testing my Multi Theft Auto server. To log on, load up MTA and use the following server information. I am also listed in ASE (The All Seeing Eye) for those of you that use it.

For setup and installation instructions for MTA visit MTAVC.com and read the manual. It's pretty simple.

iRiver Arrived Today!

Visit the Free iRiver Pics Page for the proof. This thing is pretty cool, I will post a review of it, and compare it to the iPod once I have had time to play with it.

Still wondering how to get some free stuff like I have managed? Well, the two offers I am currently working on are listed below. Join me in my adventure, and get in on the free stuff.

freePhotoiPods.com
Dvrs4free.com

Keep in mind you can opt for $275 CASH for the Dvrs site...only 5 referrals for $275 hard cash?

iRiver Shipped!

Well, my iRiver should be here tomorrow! I have the UPS tracking number from OfferCentric, and it is in Ohio right now. It is scheduled for delivery here tomorrow afternoon. I will play with it tomorrow and hopefully be able to get a review to compare it to the iPod by Wednesday sometime. So stay tuned!

freePhotoiPods.com is coming along well so far. 4 greens, and about 9 yellows. Only a few more there and I am on my way off another conga. As for my PS2 from PrizeCube, I am still waiting. I tried emailing them tonight and got a crappy form letter response. They are not very good at keeping in touch, they better hope they approve my account soon...

How Long does it take?

Here's a rough idea of how long it took for me to complete my offers. I know some of you wonder how long it takes to get referrals and how long it takes to order and all of that. So here's how my offers have gone so far.

freeiPods.com

08/22 - Signed up
9/10 - referrals completed
9/15 - finally sent to vendor
10/24 - Shipped
10/26 - Recieved

mp3players4free.com

10/20 - Signed up
11/01 - Referrals completed
11/02 - iRiver Ordered
11/09 - Recieved (wow that was fast)

consoles.prizecube.com

10/29 - Signed up
11/04 - Referrals Completed
11/04 - Submitted for Review/Approval
11/12 - Suspended for suspected multiple accounts
11/19 - Removed from suspension, cleared it up
11/19 - Ordered My PS2
11/25 - Email asking me if I want EBGames gift card, I say yes
11/26 - Email saying Ebgames is switched to Amazon.com gift card
11/28 - I get my $160 Amazon.com gift card!!

**(I am going to choose the WebCertificate for this site. They either ship the console to you, or let you have a $160 gift card that can be used ANYWHERE online that accepts Mastercard. I am going to order my Slim PS2 with the WebCert, probably from Best Buy so I can pick it up at the store.)

Here's some sites I have signed up for and not yet completed. Of these, the freePhotoiPods.com deal is the one most likely to work out for you guys. The rest of them are so backed up, that I would only recommend them to someone who wants to put a lot of leg work into them. Simply sitting on a conga will never work for a lot of these. I do highly recommend the freePhotoiPods.com deal though, it is new and still moving along. So far I have 2 green and 8 yellows, after only 5 days.

Sites not yet completed: (any help will be appreciated, and earn spots on the Congas)

Pvps4Free.com
Dvrs4free.com
FreeFlatScreens.com
FreeDesktopPC.com
freePhotoiPods.com

Here are the offers I completed. I ended up keeping the BlockBuster deal I liked it so much.

eFax.com
Stamps.com
Blockbuster Online
Video Professor
Aol for broadband
RealArcade.com
Ancestry.com
Ebay

Updated PrizeCube Console conga...

I am still pending approval for my order of the PS2, but I removed myself from the conga. No need to hold everyone else up while I wait. Should be verified soon. They are offering WebCertificates now if you choose. What this means is that they send you a certificate that can be used online anywhere Mastercard is accepted. It is worth $160, so I will just order my PS2 from BestBuy.com or somewhere like that and shipping should be very fast.

Keep the referrals coming for the new freePhotoiPods.com site. I have 1 green and 6 yellows so far, so hopefully they will all go through. It seems to be getting going pretty good.

Well other than that no news, still waiting for my iRiver to ship, and then my PS2. What next...? Perhaps the Bose sound dock site? We'll see, so far we have been very successful.

Thursday, November 04, 2004

Quick Update...

I am now awaiting approval for the prizecube console site, I got my 3 referrals done really easy. Assuming everything goes through, I will be moving the conga (though it is VERY short) as soon as I get to order my PS2. I might have to get a GameCube too, it was so easy.

Day one of our next 4 years...

Well, Bush managed to pull out another 4 years. I'm thinking Canada is just next door to me, maybe I'll hitch a ride over there for the next 4 years.

Free deal news today: I noticed on the Pvps4Free.com Site today that the new Photo iPod is an option now. So there are two ways to sign up for the photo iPod 40GB now. I'd jump in at least one of those, and see what happens. I expect both deals should get a lot of people.

I emailed OfferCentric today, and my iRiver order was officially sent to the vendor today so it should be shipping very soon if they aren't back ordered like the iPods are. By request, I am going to do a full review comparing the iPod 20GB and the iRiver H320 when I get it. So tune back for that.

Free Photo iPod?

Yes it is true, Gratis now has a site for a free 40GB photo ipod. I signed up, I'm going to give it a shot I guess, but with the Gratis offers they all get backed up quickly. So sign up early to get in! I did get my free iPod from freeiPods.com, which is the only reason I suggest getting on this one. A whopping 10 referrals needed, but these things are expensive!

Help me get the photo iPod, and get in early to get one for yourself - freePhotoiPods.com

ELECTION DAY

GO VOTE....everyone needs to vote today. If you're registered to vote, then get off your ass and go do it. This election looks like it is going to be close, so every vote counts.

Less important news, but thrilling for me, I ordered my iRiver h320 from Offercentric last night. I can't wait to get it and compare it to the iPod I already got. Then I will likely sell it on Ebay or something. We'll see how useful the photo viewing is, I may end up keeping it.

Go HERE to view some pics of the new Slim PS2. This is the one PrizeCube.com is giving away. Help me get mine, and then get your own and join the conga!

Conga Updated!

I have my 5 greens on the mp3players4free site now, so I took myself off the conga, and bumped everyone up. I'll keep everyone posted as to when I get verified and shipped!

I should be finishing up the PrizeCube Consoles soon with any luck. Help me out getting my last green on that one. I hear they are giving away the special holiday Xbox's and the new Slim PS2's. Should be awesome! The easy one to do is the RealArcade.com offer, it has a free trial for 30 days.

GO BLUE!

For anyone with their eyes on the Big Ten...you know today is the Michigan vs Michigan State game in Ann Arbor. I'll be there, cheering for the Wolverines! Go Blue!

Oh yeah, and whoever is playing against Wisconsin today, I'm pulling for you too.

(UPDATE: Wow, what a great game! It's being called one of the best games in the history of the Big Ten by some...triple overtime victory for the Wolverines! After being down 17 points with 7 minutes in regulation!)

Offercentric...my review

I just wanted to relay some good info about Offercentric to everyone. I emailed them today about my Ebay offer that I did a week or so ago which had not gone through. I explained that their site had been down the day after I completed the offer, and that I was concerned I had been overlooked somehow. Now here is the AMAZING part. Less than 3 hours later, I had an email response telling me that my account had been updated. I went and looked, and sure enough I had been credited for completing the offer.

So for those of you who have done an offer and not been credited, it is worth your time to contact them and let them know. They have EXCELENT customer service, I have heard from others that they get quick responses as well. This is a stand-up honest company if you ask me, give them credit for doing (so far) what Gratis cannot which is provide an excelent customer interaction.

New Free Game Console Site!

This is a great new site I found. You can get an Xbox, PS2, or GameCube and it is only 3 referrals!! This should be a piece of cake! I am starting a conga. Help me out to get on...this one should be easy! Real Arcade is the easiest offer, quick to credit and FREE for 30 days.

Happy Halloween if I don't get to say so later!

One more green!! Multiplayer GTA Vice City?

I only need one more green for the mp3players4free.com deal. Help me out someone, I want to be able to move this conga tomorrow!!

I hear that the BlockBuster deal is crediting next day in most cases. I have heard at least 3 confirmed greens for people the next day because of that deal. So if anyone is looking for an easy way to do it, that's one choice. Also, I did eFax which can be canceled online in a live chat session on their site if you decide you don't like it. Stamps.com is cool, because you can print some free stamps with the trial offer. Choose one and help me out!

In other news, I discovered a cool little program called Multi Theft Auto which lets you play GTA Vice City online against other people. It is AWESOME. I have been spending time flying around shooting people with the attack chopper, and performing drive-by's on the motorcycles. Great fun, and a whole new twist on a great game. Most servers can have over 20 people so there is plenty of mayhem! Join me, look for JiggyByte on one of the servers. If you need help, I would be happy to put up a tutorial for getting it up and running.

Lunar Eclipse and my freeIpod.com iPod

Two nice little pages I whipped up for your viewing pleasure today. The first is a page with some pictures of the lunar eclipse I watched from my apartment. The second is a page with some proof photos of my FREE iPod I just got from freeiPods.com. Enjoy them both. Now I am back to GTA.

Click here for my eclipse pictures. Also, you can see my older moon pics

Click HERE to view my FREE iPod pics that I took yesterday. For those still trying, it is worth the effort. And some sign up for the new offer as well from mp3players4free.com.

Enjoy the pics...I will have to try to head somewhere with no city lights sometime and get some pics of the stars...that would be awesome.

We were down...

Acd.net had some troubles with our connection yesterday, but we're back up now! Sorry 'bout that. Maybe it is time to set up some kind of free hosting for when my connection is down.

The good news is that my iPod arrived yesterday! I will post pics soon.

In other news, GTA San Andreas rocks. I spent most of last night playing it, and I highly recommend picking it up.

More later...

Patience...

It is a virtue I do not have much of. I am still waiting on those green dots...lots of yellows. I will be mailing everyone who is yellow for me on all three offers in the next day or two. Please take a few minutes to verify with me if you have completed an offer or not, and if you got credit for it on your account. I would like to know even if you decided not to do an offer, so that I know who to wait on and who not to wait on.

I appreciate everyone's patience. I have a feeling all of my yellows are going to go green at once, and I will have enough. Then it's fiesta time!

Update on the freeiPod from freeiPods.com...it has left Alaska and is crossing Canada in our direction. Delivery date is still set for Thursday!

Finally, check out THIS SITE for a cool little program that lets you share a mouse and keyboard on two machines...just put the two monitors next to each other and seemlessly move the mouse from one screen to the other, one machine to another. This is different than a KVM switch, because you can share screensavers, clipboards, and a ton of cool stuff. Very neat...the program is called 'Synergy'

FreeiPods.com ROCKS!!

I love Gratis
'Nough said I will post pics of my brand new iPod from freeiPods.com when it arrives this week! I am so pumped. It had been on order for like 6 weeks.

Still expecting the other OfferCentric offers to turn green tomorrow when the database gets updated. I will keep you posted.

Offercentric - now shipping!

According to the forums at GearLive, the first people are now having their iPods/Mp3 player shipped to them from the new sites. Very good news for all of us, now we just need to get the referrals and we're all good.

Thank you to all of those who have referred under me, I have lists growing on all of my offers now. Still lagging on the Dvr site, but it's coming along. AS SOON AS I GET GREENS, I will be adjusting the congas so that people aren't using my links anymore. I am guessing this will happen on Monday when they update the databases? When this happens, we'll know for sure.

To all of those who have used the links, thanks again and make sure that if you have gotten approved to let me know so I can write to them if I never see yours go green for me...it's a new system and there may be bugs afterall. As of now, I still have all yellows. That should change soon.

Hopefully one last day to post these here:
DVR Site - http://www.dvrs4free.com/default.aspx?r=5546
Pvp site - http://www.pvps4free.com/default.aspx?r=4554
Mp3 site - http://www.mp3players4free.com/default.aspx?r=4528

Just so you know...if I don't post on Tuesday, it's because I am playing GTA San Andreas. I will be visiting Best Buy for a copy on my lunch hour...I look forward to this almost as much as I did to Fable.

I wish Gratis went this fast!!

Damn, these new offers are flying along! Everyone who is on the congas, you'll be moving up soon. I have a few yellows on each one already. As soon as they go green I will be very close to moving on to the shipping process! So keep those referrals coming. I will keep you posted on how they are going. If you use a link here, you'll be moving on in no time at all.

Since the offers were down part of today, I have been reading up on our company in charge of these offers. They are seeming pretty legit, I haven't seen a single bad report on them yet and they are well funded and ready to grow with their demand. Everyone who signed up and did an offer, make sure you keep an eye on it to make sure it goes through. If you have to do a second one, I recommend Ebay, Efax or Stamps.com. They are all free and easy. I would double check that you get credit, because the conga can't move on with yellows, and the troubles with the sites today could have disrupted things a bit. If you get double credit, just use it for the bonus gifts.

Other exciting news...Jiggybyte may be getting a server upgrade! I have access to a new, more robust server that my be put in place as a second server to handle the load. That would make 3 T1 lines, and 2 servers. :-) We'll see, it may be temporary anyway.

New offers Moving Along...

I am in the process of updating the congas for the new sites. They will be done in a little bit here. Thanks for those who have responded so far. I went ahead and signed up for the Tivo site. I added my link to the conga...since no one else had wanted to sign up. I am considering having a Tivo giveaway to the people on the new congas when I get my free one. So sign up now! If I get enough people, perhaps I will give it away!

Help me get a new Tivo for jiggybyte.com - http://www.dvrs4free.com/default.aspx?r=5546

Also (read more below)
Pvp site - http://www.pvps4free.com/default.aspx?r=4554
Mp3 site - http://www.mp3players4free.com/default.aspx?r=4528

UPDATE - congas are updated for now...I will update again tonight if more people sign up. Keep them moving folks! Also, my Stamps.com referral already went through. Use that one to sign up or the Ebay one, both are super easy.

New Free Deals!
( Free Mp3 player/video player/Tivo )

As some of you may know already, there is a new company out there with some sites very similar to the way the Gratis deals work. GearLive message boards are just starting to get going with them. I have signed up for two of these new sites, and have created a NEW Conga Page for these sites. I didn't sign up for the DVR page, because I already have a ReplayTV but I encourage you all to try it out. First one to let me know they signed up gets to be the top of that conga!

Here are my links for the two I signed up for, please help out and sign up using mine, and you'll be added to the congas. If you get in now, it should take no time at all to get referrals. These deals are just starting to take off. I forsee these deals getting as popular as the Gratis ones very quickly...so don't wait!

Pvp site - http://www.pvps4free.com/default.aspx?r=4554
Mp3 site - http://www.mp3players4free.com/default.aspx?r=4528

The new Mp3 site is particularly cool because you can choose an Mp3 player other than the iPod. The iRiver (which can store and display digital pictures) and the Rio Carbon are also available. So sign up over there and get an iPod from Gratis and something else from this one! Or get another iPod...and sell it!

You'll also drool over hte PVP site...they have some awesome looking gadgets there. The Archos AV420 looks sweeeeeet. Anyway, click the referrals and help me out. And of course I will try to help all of you as well once we get this thing rolling!

I encourage you to check out the GearLive.com boards on these deals for more info...they are a great resource, although too swamped to help much with referrals.

Conga Shuffle...done

As per my post almost 2 weeks ago...I shuffled the Gratis Congas. Those who wrote me maintained their place, or moved up. Those who did not, well you dropped below those who did. Why? Because I have no idea how many referrals you have/need. Email me your info and maybe you can earn a higher spot again next time I shuffle. I may shuffle again in a couple of weeks.

Maintenance Complete...

The site is back in action tonight, after some unplanned maintenance. You shouldn't notice the difference because the page in question was an old page no longer used by the site.

Good news on the freeiPod front, according to the forums over at GearLive, iPods are once again shipping and hopefully my iPod will be in one of the next batches. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Here's another cool tool from our friends over at Google. It's called the Google Desktop. Go check it out and let me know what you think.

Last but not least, I thought I would mention that for the past few days, The ScreenSavers (G4TechTV) have been asking hackers around the globe to "Hack Their Box". It was a computer set up for people to try to break in, and leave a file on the desktop. The first person in got the computer, and an appearance on the show. Unfortunately, looks like they were shut down by their ISP. Funny thing is, no one even broke in. It was just a WinXP machine with SP2 and the critical updates installed on it via WindowsUpdate.com. I'm kind of surprised no one got in, are you?

Gmail Drive?

As you may have heard, there is a cool little program out there called Gmail Drive that lets you use your Gmail account like a portable 1GB hard drive. It shows up in Windows Explorer just like an external drive normally does. You can drag and drop just like any hard drive, and it gives you access to files or documents from anywhere. This would have been awesome in school, I could have dragged a bunch of music up there and listened to it on campus. Check it out, it's worth the 10 second download. Thanks to Jono for pointing this out last week, I just hadn't had time to put it up.

Everyone send me there interesting links, news articles, or mods. I will try to feature something interesting on the front page whenever I get stuff from people.

Belkin Tunecast Mod

As promised, here is an article I wrote up describing how I modded my Belkin Tunecast II to get much better strength out of it. I added an external antenna about three feet long, made of speaker wire. I got the Tunecast for $26 online, and the other material cost about $5.00. It is a cheap and easy mod, and it greatly improves the quality of the Tunecast.

Visit my article, and check it out

I also posted a link in the forums...

Deadweight removal...

One week from today, I am going to clean out people from the conga who have not emailed me in the past few days. This primarily concerns those at the top, because I haven't heard from you in the longest time. Those who just signed up, fear not, I know who you are and you will stay where you are. Anyone who does not email me within one week, I reserve the right to move you to the bottom of the conga. I don't want people at the top who have all of their referrals. Those who have signed up in the past week, don't worry about it, you can only move up afterall and I know you're still alive because you just emailed me your info.

Traffic, Traffic, Traffic...

Well, now I know all I have to do to get people to come visit the site and take Gmail invites is post a link on Slashdot!. Minutes after I posted the link, all 45 were gone. Anyone who has extras for the next giveaway, please send them along using the links here on this page to email them to me.

Other interesting news? Who's keeping up on the X-Prize? SpaceshipOne won the X-prize yesterday by making their second flight into sub orbital space. CNN and Slashdot had coverage, as well as the team's home page at www.scaled.com/projects/tierone Pretty cool stuff if you ask me, I want to be on that first commercial flight a few years from now.

We've had more people submitting referrals to the congas...let's keep the traffic coming. Send your friends!

Gmail for all! 45 more to give away...

Still need one? Well, visit the GMAIL PAGE for our latest round of Gmail invites. 45 more to add to the tally. That brings us close to 100 so far. I'll keep them coming for as long as I can.

I am going to start taking news from other people to post here if you have it. Just submit it to the link and I will try to post the most interesting posts every day.

I am still here, really!

I have been keeping the site up to date aside from the home page, but I have been busy this week. We were busy at work, I was finishing Fable (yes, I beat it) and to top it off I have a family member in the hospital! Sheesh...

We'll focus on the good news here, Fable is an excelent game. I finished it Wednesday night. I took the evil path through the game, and now my guy has horns and red glowing eyes. I have 2 wives currently, and have divorced a third using my sword. (she wouldn't put out) I own an entire town, and am now charging rent for the citizens to live there with me. It's a great way to make money.

The depth of play in this game never got to the insane level that I had with Morrowind, but this game is more entertaining in general. I have been puking drunk a few times, and once drank 20 beers and ate a ton of food just to gain weight to unlock a secret! What a great game. Then I got blurry-eyed drunk and ran around Oakvale (the town I own) and slashed everyone with my sword!

I plan on continuing through the game some more to find the last few secrets and finish maxing my stats. Shouldn't take long, then I can retire it for a bit and will come back and do the whole game being a good hero instead.

I believe soon I will be giving away more Gmail invites, so if you want one, keep checking back. I have about 40 here that I am going to post. I also added a FreeHandBags.com conga for those doing that offer. Hope it helps...I will be passing on that one myself.

Dark Tower...Coda (plus JiggyByte news)

Well, from a man who has read the entire series of the Dark Tower from beginning to end now (and most of the story many times over) I can say that it is well worth the time for anyone who has not. If you want to read some spoilers, I suggest reading some of the forums around the net for them, I couldn't possibly provide you with as much info as you can find elsewhere. In short, I will tell you that not all of the Ka tet makes it to the tower, and I will give you a big hint in saying that I am now going to begin reading the first book as a continuation of the story...say what????

In other news, I believe I may finally reclaim my home page for myself...the iPod and flatscreen mania has been dwindling lately. I do plan on keeping the forums active if I can, and certainly the congas will not leave. They will remain on the site, and will still be in my sigs around the net, so traffic will continue to see them. I am, however, not holding my breath on getting my other two deals done. The iPod is done, and the other two have been much harder for me to get any interest on. Who knows, maybe in a few weeks the interest will spike again and I will reapply my efforts!

In the meantime, I plan on giving away as many Gmail invites as I can, and keeping everyone posted on what's going on here at JiggyByte.com. I am still playing Fable...not done yet after a weeks break to read DT7. And The Sims 2 seems to be next on my list. I'll let you know...and of course Halo 2 is coming soon, along with San Andreas. Tune in often!. I will post pics when I get my iPod, and good luck to those on the lists here and elsewhere.

Da Moon!

No time to post a ton of stuff tonight...busy reading. But here's a link to some pics I took tonight (and previously) with my telescope and digital camera. Pretty cool if I do say so.

Moon Pics Here...

For those of you who care, I suggest heading to your local bookstore tomorrow and picking up a copy of "The Dark Tower VII" to read...it came out today.

Back in the heazy

Well, after a much needed vacation, I am back. Traffic dipped a bit while I was away, but hopefully we'll get it back up.

Tomorrow is the big day, Dark Tower VII comes out! So if I don't post here tomorrow you'll know why. The past few days have been consumed with Fable, I think I am about 75% through it so far. Anyone who has had any problems, write on the message boards and maybe you'll get some help.

There are still some Gmail accounts over on the Gmail page (find link below, I am lazy) and I will be posting round three soon with a bunch more. So if you need one, go and get it for free!

Friday, September 17, 2004

No news is good news?

I'll be on vacation this weekend, so you'll have to forgive the site for not changing itself. Do keep visiting the forums though, they are picking up a bit and we're always adding more topics.

There are still more Gmail accounts on the GMAIL page.

In other news, I am still waiting for my iPod to actually ship...still on the "Sent to Vendor, waiting for product" step. Damn!

Fable...

Yes, it's true. Fable is finally out after years of waiting. Xbox fans, I recommend you rush right out and get this one. Until today, I had been playing Burnout 3, but I put it down without hesitation for this one. I think this is going to be a late night...

The site is on track to have good traffic once again tonight. Even with the internet problems last night we hit almost 180 visitors. Not too shabby. Keep telling everyone to visit the site! I think some of the congas are getting near a change in the top person. Keep an eye on them.

Also, on a final note, I rotated the Featured Referrals Links again. Well...back to Fable.

Tuesday, September 14, 2004

Internet Outage

Unfortunately, I had a bit of an internet outage for a few hours here at JiggyByte.com. Everything should be back up and running now though, so keep on coming back! Hopefully that won't happen again.

For all of you who are Simpsons fans, you'll want to check this next link out for sure. It's the most detailed map of Springfield I have ever seen. It's amazing. Click HERE to check it out. It must have taken forever for this guy to do this.

Alex and I have combined efforts in getting a torrent together to help get referrals. Click HERE to get it and help us out. You will need to unzip the file, and then load the torrent with your favorite client. I have a link in the 'When I'm bored' section to download Azureus, my favorite client. If this works well, we will be rotating links in the torrent to help get a ton of referrals. This has worked well for others in the past.

There are still more Gmail accounts on the GMAIL page.

Monday, September 13, 2004

More free Gmail

I posted more free Gmail accounts HERE. More news later...

I have moved some of the old news from the front page to an archive page. If anyone needs the links or wants to read the old news, just click the archives link to the right. This should help keep the front page smaller, and more manageable.

In other news, the final installment of Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series come out next Tuesday. I encourage all of you to check out this series if you've never read them. Probably my favorite series of all time.

Featured Link Rotation + Xbox mods

I rotated the featured links again. I am trying to keep everyone getting referrals by making sure everyone gets face time here. Also, the congas are growing! We are getting enough traffic now, so that they have begun working pretty well. Keep telling your friends to come join us.

Anyone interested in Xbox Mods, join the forums and ask questions, we have one of the best xbox-scene.com posters here in the forums (Jono aka ipodder2003) helping us out. Ask him questions and I am sure he can point you in the right direction.

On a related note, Engadget had some pics of possible designs for the Xbox 2 on their site, click HERE to check them out. What do you think?

Keep up the good work, and invite everyone you know to come help us out!

1000 Visitors milestone

Thanks for visiting!

JiggyByte passed the 1000 total unique visitors mark this morning. Thanks to all who keep coming back. Round two of the Gmail giveaway will be very soon. Meanwhile, go check out the forums and join the community. And as always, send your friends and help everyone get their free stuff!

Now I am off to watch some college football, this is my favorite season of the year! Go Blue!

It Really Works!

Finally, it is ordered!

My order went through

Thank you to all who have helped out. Please keep up the good work helping everyone else here, and of course I still don't have my other offers done. :-)

Drop by the forums if you have some time, not too many people have gone yet. We have some Xbox forums, and some Gratis forums. I'd be happy to add more for whatever stuff you want to talk about.

Forums are open

I have opened the JiggyByte forums for everyone to help me test them and get them moving. Let me know what you think.

Lots of News Today

Gmail giveaway has begun...CLICK HERE TO GET AN INVITE...ONE PER PERSON PLEASE.

Also, I have successfully gotten my iPod referrals (still waiting on approval), so the link you see on the right side under featured links is no longer mine. Please help Taylor out just like you helped me. And of course help out with the FlatScreen and Desktop links as well.

Probably the biggest news all day is that I have set up FORUMS here on Jiggybyte.com! Yep, that's right. I don't know how many people will use them, but I fully intend to make this into something big. I want all of you who visit here to check them out later when I turn them on. I am still testing a bit for now, but I hope to turn them on sometime Friday, and let them run all weekend as a test. So please check back for the link to the forums, and then invite everyone you know here for discussions of everything, especially the Gratis "Free Deals".

Keep the traffic going, we had about another 150 visitors today. Let's get even more to come once the forums are up.

Exciting News!

My iPod account has gone into referral review...I have 6 green completes now! Assuming things go through, I will be taking my iPod links down, and replacing them with someone else's. Hopefully the process won't take too long, I can hardly wait. Thanks again to everyone who referred under me, please let me know if there is any way I can help you all out better.

And remember, the fun doesn't stop here. The goal is to help everyone get their iPod, flatscreen, and Desktop. Keep on helping out!

The Gmail giveaway should be tonight if I have time, in celebration of getting my 5+ referrals. :-)

UPDATE: There has been a changing of the guard...the iPod conga has been updated, Taylor_E is now top on the list. His link is now the featured link for the iPod here on the main screen as well. Help him out and give him some clicks! My iPod link has been put into hibernation until I find out if I am approved!

Great Googly Moogly!

First news, notice the featured referral links on the right hand side...those are where we will rotate people on the home page to get referrals. Everyone help out and get people to come use these links, or else the congas.

Another record day here at JiggyByte.com. We had over 200 visitors on Wednesday. The upward cycle continues, and things are starting to roll.

Anyone who wants to see the visitor graph for the site, click HERE to view it. Notice the spike over the last couple of days...hopefully this means we can get some more referrals coming in. Anyone who wants to see the search spider activity can click HERE.

I signed up for the FreeDesktopPC.com offer today. You'll notice my link with the rest of them. I did it mostly to see how fast it is moving so I know what to expect from others signing up here. I made a conga for it, and I am second on the list behind one other lucky person. Help us out, and join the fun everyone. I know most people haven't done it yet, so that would be a great way to get the line started fast.

Thanks to all who have emailed me about offering Gmail invites, and sending people to the site. We're going to have the Gmail giveaway soon, keep watching. I am trying to decide how to do it to make it fair for everyone.

I am also going to add a section to the site specifically for trading referrals. This way, if you want to contact each other directly, you have that option. It'll be a list of email addresses with notes about what referrals they might want to trade signups on. Since I have already signed up for all three, I can't do trades anymore, but I can give you face time here on the home page, or add you to the congas (we have a Desktop one now as well).

If you like the site, click my links and help me out. Starting soon, we'll have rotating links over on the side bar. The early birds get the first worm.
(note - I will send Gmail invites to all those who sign up as my referral. I have 10 to give away!)

Wednesday, September 08, 2004

Over 100 Visitors Tuesday!!!

Well, the new site is a hit. We had over 110 unique visitors here on Tuesday. If we keep up the traffic, good things will happen. Thanks to all who have clicked the referral links. Keep helping! I am putting the list together for as soon as my last two iPod referrals go through, and plan on starting a rotating 'Featured Referral' link at the top of the page. This will reward those who have come to help out others, while not giving an advantage to anyone who happened to get here first.

While you're at it, take a look at SirBryan.com if you're in the Utah area...they do wedding photography, portraits and all sorts of stuff. I'm no pro, but the work looks great. Hopefully someone who sees this will be able to take advantage of the great work. There's also a link on the left of this page, in my bookmarks section.

Keep up the good work, thanks for visiting! Help us out by clicking the links below, and come back soon. I have some lines in the water, and may be giving away MANY Gmail accounts on this page in a day or two.
